Covid-19 Safety Precautions for Face to Face Sessions

As long as Covid 19 remains an active public health threat Talking It Over will be taking some precautions to provide protection for both my clients and myself for face to face work.

My commitment to clients

  • I will conduct a written risk assessment that will be updated on a regular basis.
  • All clients will need to sign a covid-19 consent form in advance of face-to-face sessions.
  • For new clients, all paperwork will need to be signed online in advance of starting therapy.
  • If I or anyone in my household feels unwell, or are displaying any of the coronavirus symptoms, I will inform you immediately and either rearrange your appointment or offer an online session instead.
  • I will follow all regulatory requirements relating to social distancing.
  • I will open the door to the main house, garden and therapy room for you at the beginning and end of the session. I will also offer you hand sanitiser at the main door entrance when you arrive and in the therapy garden office.
  • Where possible and if confidentiality allows, I will keep a window open during the session. I will also air out the therapy room between sessions.
  • I will wipe down door handles, office equipment and furniture every day with antibacterial cleaner.
  • I will not be able to accept cash payments. I will accept card payments and wipe down the card machine before and after use. Ideally, I prefer if you pay by card online in advance or directly into my bank account - bank details will be supplied on your invoice. If you are an insurance or EAP client, this does not apply.

My requirements from clients

  • If you or a member of your household is feeling unwell or are displaying any symptoms of coronavirus, please do inform me straight away. I will either rearrange your appointment or move your session to an online one.
  • For your safety please use your own toilet facilities at home before leaving for the session, although toilet access is available if necessary.
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to social distancing.
  • Allowing me to open the front door, garden office door and therapy room door for you upon arrival and departure.
  • Make use of the hand sanitiser provided by my main front door and/or in the therapy room.
  • If you choose to bring your own drink, please ensure the bottle/cup is taken away with you
